Motorola’s 2015 portfolio of smartphones debuted this week, with the unveiling of the Moto G budget phone (you can watch that hands on video here: Moto G video hands on) and two fresh takes on the Moto X: the Moto X Play and the Moto X Style.

The Moto X Play comes over like a tough phone with a water-resistant design, which it teams with 48-hour battery life, a 21-megapixel camera and an edge-to-edge 5.5-inch screen.

The Moto X Style packs the same 21-megapixel camera, but is a handset with an accent on, ahem, style and with the option for extensive customisation with the Moto Maker service.

It’s also home to a 5.7-inch edge-to-edge display. And for selfies, there’s a front-facing five-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens.
