Motorola's landgrab for the budget Android phone market started brilliantly back in 2013 with the well reviewed, huge-selling original Moto G.

However, last year's model wasn't quite so well received, largely due to the omission of 4G support.

That seemed a bit churlish to us given how much phone you were getting for your money. Although we can see why it irked some people.

So what’s the deal with the 2015 Moto G that was unveiled earlier this week? Has Motorola taken that criticism on board? Is the Moto G still a strong contender for the best budget phone around? We went hands-on with the handset at the launch event to find out.
